As usual, fantastic staging complemented the huge selection of incredible art-to-wear pieces. If you’re in Wellington in late September/early October, this is one show you shouldn’t miss. It’s a uniquely kiwi event featuring one-off pieces from artists around the globe, featuring themed sections such as Bizarre Bra, Illuminated Illusions, Man Unleashed and the ever-popular Children’s Section.

In just a few months the World Buskers Festival hits town again! This celebration of fun on the footpath takes place in Christchurch in late January every year; 17 years since it began, it’s become the largest street theatre festival in Australasia and amongst the top five in the world.

I’m just about to embark on the highest, longest and fastest flying fox in the world – The Skywire at Happy Valley Adventures in Cable Bay, 15 minutes out of Nelson. This is a big deal for me, considering I hate heights!
