It’s official! One of Wellington City’s most enduringly popular restaurants has now been awarded the title of Supreme Winner in the Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year Awards 2009.

Even non-Wellingtonians will be familiar with restaurateurs Steve Logan and Al Brown. Since 2006 they have fronted three series of a television cooking show with a typically New Zealand twist: Hunger for the Wild saw the intrepid pair take to the New Zealand backcountry to hunt, gather and cook fresh ingredients against a backdrop of wild scenery, meeting colourful local personalities along the way.

Logan Brown the restaurant is just as unpretentious as the Kiwi blokes it’s named for. Offering high class dining without the formality, Logan Brown won praise from the judge with its easy blend of impressive cuisine and attentive service. Reserve a table next time you’re in New Zealand’s capital city and judge for yourself.
